Toward the realization of the super-smart society (Society 5.0) promoted by the Japanese government, we are committed to innovation in advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), and to developing high-value-added products and services for the next generation.
Recently, we have confirmed that products believed to be counterfeits of our "ONLINE FACE®" products are being sold and distributed. We have also observed cases in which products that are not ours are sold in a manner suggesting they use equivalent technology.
The manufacture and sale of counterfeit products infringes our intellectual property rights, including patent rights, trademark rights and copyrights, and may violate the Unfair Competition Prevention Act. These are criminal acts that, upon prosecution, may be punished by imprisonment, fines, or both, at the discretion of the courts.
We intend to take firm legal action, together with our attorneys and patent attorneys, against any acts that infringe our intellectual property rights or constitute unfair competition. If you wish to use our products, we ask that you exercise due caution regarding these counterfeit products before adopting them.
